Anthony (Tony) Wade
Tony is a choreographer, performer, and educator whose work is shaped by a rich blend of classical training and contemporary innovation. He holds an MFA in Choreography from the University of Roehampton in London, along with dual BFAs in Ballet and Modern Dance from Texas Christian University—credentials that reflect both his depth of knowledge and his commitment to the craft. At DV8 Dance Complex, Tony is known for his thoughtful teaching style, artistic clarity, and ability to guide dancers toward stronger technique and deeper creative expression.
In addition to his work at DV8, Tony serves as an Adjunct Professor of Dance at Texas Woman’s University, where he mentors emerging artists in technique, choreography, and compositional practices. He is also a touring company dancer with B. MOORE DANCE, contributing to performances that center bold storytelling and movement exploration across the United States. Tony’s choreography has been presented nationally and internationally, showcasing his distinctive artistic voice and passion for crafting meaningful, impactful work.
When he’s not teaching, rehearsing, or creating, Tony enjoys unwinding at amusement parks—he’s a dedicated rollercoaster enthusiast—and finds inspiration through international travel. His curiosity about the world and love of new experiences continually influence his movement style and choreographic perspective. Tony’s expertise, creativity, and passion for nurturing dancers make him an invaluable part of the DV8 team.
