On Saturday, December 6th, DV8 Dance Complex and DV8 the Company brought the energy straight to the streets of Downtown Denton for the 2025 Denton Holiday Lighting Festival—a cherished celebration that has illuminated the town square since 1988.

This year, DV8 received a personal invitation to perform, and our dancers delivered an unforgettable street dance experience right on the pavement beneath the glowing lights. With festival-goers lined up along the blocked-off streets, DV8 the Company showcased three high-energy hip hop routines, each filled with sharp choreography, bold style, and the magnetic stage presence our dancers are known for.

Performing outdoors in the heart of the festival created an electric atmosphere—music echoing between buildings, holiday lights overhead, and the crowd cheering from just a few feet away. It was the perfect backdrop for DV8 to share our passion, creativity, and signature festive flair.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Denton Holiday Lighting Festival team for the invitation and to everyone who stopped, watched, clapped, and celebrated with us. Moments like these remind us why community and the arts go hand in hand.
