We’re excited to expand our Spring 2026 class lineup with a brand-new Pilates program designed to support strength, stability, and overall movement quality for both dancers and adults. This spring, DV8 Dance Complex will offer Pilates for Dancers and a non–dance-specific Adult Pilates class, both taught by Kampbell Davis.
Classes begin Thursday, January 22nd, with multiple options available each week.
Pilates for Dancers
Pilates for Dancers is specifically designed to complement dance training by focusing on the physical foundations that support safe, strong, and efficient movement.
In this class, dancers will work on:
- Core strength and stability
- Balance and body control
- Proper alignment and posture
- Effective stretching techniques
- Foot and ankle strengthening for injury prevention
Pilates is widely used in professional dance training because it helps dancers improve technique, increase body awareness, and reduce the risk of injury. Whether your dancer is training recreationally or preparing for performance, auditions, or advanced technique, this class is a powerful addition to their weekly schedule.
Adult Pilates (Non-Dancer Specific)
In addition to our dancer-focused offering, DV8 is excited to introduce a non–dance-specific Pilates class for adults, held on Thursday evenings.
This class is open to adults of all experience levels and focuses on:
- Building functional strength
- Improving core stability and balance
- Increasing flexibility and mobility
- Supporting better posture and movement patterns
- Low-impact conditioning that supports everyday life
No dance background is required. This class is perfect for adults looking for a structured, effective workout that strengthens the body while remaining mindful of alignment and injury prevention.
Meet the Instructor: Kampbell Davis
All Pilates classes will be taught by Kampbell Davis, a certified Pilates instructor and former competitive dancer. Kampbell also teaches at Nooma Studios in Dallas near SMU, bringing professional-level training and experience into every class she leads.
Her combined background in Pilates and dance allows her to tailor instruction thoughtfully—whether she’s working with dancers looking to enhance performance or adults focused on building strength and mobility.
